11.  The First Stool

The first stool will come out green and black. This is no reason to panic, it is only the lining that was in your child’s intestines during pregnancy. They will be stuck to your child’s bottom, so clean it up with soft cotton the first time, then apply petroleum jelly for easier removal the next time. This will happen a few times, so don’t be alarmed, just remove it from your child’s skin.

12.  Your Baby’s Sight is Terrible

When they are newborns, they can only see 20-30 centimeters in front of them. So for the first few weeks, they’re line of sight is only what is right in front of them. It should happen that this should only be you and the loved ones they will grow to know. This is what helps create such a strong bond between mother and child.
