COMBRETHUM MICRANTHUM HERBAL TEA ?

Recently I ordered from ebay some LONGUE VIE TEA , a herbal tea made from leaves of COMBRETUM MICRANTHUM, a plant originally from West Africa. After doing intense research on wikipedia that convinced me of the effectiveness of this herbal tea. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Thanks to this herbal tea I believe that I am on the right track because I can see these results day after day for I feel my body cleaner and less heavy. If someone already used this…

New on here

Hi. I’m glad to have found this site. I am 71 years old, female, and for the last two decades have been suffering from something called psychotic depression. I used to be a slim 8 st 4 lbs, but when I was put on high doses of medication my weight ballooned to 12 st 10 lbs.

As my illness is now in remission, thank goodness, I am looking for ways to lose weight. I’m afraid I am fairly sedentary, apart from walking to the shops, but don’t want to join a gym. Recently I have joined…

My baby is almost 1 and I still look pregnant :(

I am getting really tired of people asking me am I pregnant. My little girl is nearly 1 and I am still carrying a lot of weight I put on during pregnancy. I go through phases of eating well and exercising but keep falling back. I really want to make a go of loosing weight now but I’m not sure where to start. I think food is my biggest enemy – I need to make healthier choices. I’m hoping to get some support here to focus on loosing this weight. I really want to recognise myself again when I…

Nutrition 101

Protein is a nutrient that is needed daily by the body. Protein has many functions:

  • It helps to build, repair, and maintain body cells and tissues like your skin, muscles, organs, blood, and even bones.
  • It also forms enzymes and hormones that enable your body to function normally. Enzymes enable chemical reactions to take place in your body. Hormones signal the appropriate enzymes to start working on what the body needs.
  • Proteins as antibodies protect you from…

Whey protein – anyone use it in cooking?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been toying with the idea of using whey protein (I’m thinking this over other protein powders as it doesn’t taste of much) in my cooking, with the logic that it would keep me fuller for longer and therefore helping to curb snacking.

I find that eating fewer carbs tends to result in me getting hungry a little sooner, hence this plan.

Or perhaps drinking it with a meal might be a good idea…

Has anybody else here tried consuming protein powder in or with their…

MyFitnessPal and Goals

I haven’t been on this site for some time now, but I’m back!! I have a new workout going strong and have started doing fasted cardio in the mornings along with plyometrics and resistance training in the evenings, keeping up with MyFitnessPal to log my calories, and have started intermittent fasting.

I know people say to follow pictures and measurements over weight, but I want to lose 10 pounds before summer. It’s gonna be hard, but I know I can do it! Is there a MyFitnessPal forum on here?

Time to stop thinking that my diet is not THAT bad…!

Hello everyone! I am 25-year-old female living in the UK. I currently weigh 10.5 stone (147lbs), which makes me 7lbs overweight for my height (5’3).

My overall goal is to lose 1.5 stone (21lbs). Ideally I want to lose at least 7lbs in the next 5 weeks, which I think is achievable. My current measurements are 37-29-40, and I would ideally like to see 3 inches off each measurement.

I started this blog after having a conversation with my friend about her new job. She has a Nutrition degree…

Quick Weight Loss is NOT Healthy.

Hello All!!

Whilst I’m relatively new to this forum and I think it’s awesome for keeping each other motivated I’m concerned at how so many people want super fast weight loss diets and are happy to do/try anything for it.

There are so many types of diets out there that all make massive claims about how quickly their diet will help you lose weight. And, for most of them, I’m sure they do. Most diets are a variation of a theme; reduce calories either by food or exercise or both. Some calorie…
