2. Lighting
The lighting in the room matters a lot. If you find that your child sleeps better with a light on, then it’s better to have lights that can dim down, so they can still be left on. If they react better to a pitch black room, then turn the lights off at night. Make sure that the lighting at nap time and sleeping hours is consistent, so they can create a mental system of when nap time is coming up.
