Common Illnesses That Kids Get
11. Sinus Infections
These are similar to ear infections except they happen in the sinuses of the face. It is due to a blockage in the sinuses due to fluids, mucous, and bacteria. Depending on the case, medical attention may be required or not. Many of these just pass after the immune system starts working on it. However, it may become serious if they have problems breathing or the bacteria survive for too long. Many kids will have recently had a cold or cough, which is where the bacteria come from. It can either be caused because of bacteria or a passing virus, which wouldn’t be helped by antibiotics. It is relatively close to having a cough or a cold, but it’s a little more severe and can be more uncomfortable. This has a chance of developing into something more severe or even a lifetime issue.
