Common Illnesses That Kids Get
4. Influenza
We’ve all heard of the flu. Lots of people get the flu vaccine every year and your child should as well. The flue is very common, but can get really bad. People can die of the flu if it’s severe enough. It’s a wintertime flu that strikes children, and it strikes hard. Their temperature may go up to 103 degrees or higher. The symptoms are headaches and sore throat, topped with a cough and body aches. The flu feels pretty terrible and can last for a while. In worst case scenarios, there will be vomiting and diarrhea. Remember, you can get an annual shot for your infant so that they can avoid or have lighter symptoms if they do get it. If not vaccinated, the flu can last for at least a week.
