10. Shark Fin Soup

The consumption of shark is a sign of money or wealth. In China, a dish for the wealthy is shark fin soup. Though its taste isn’t very prominent, it has a rich texture that is enjoyed. 

It is very cruel what they do to attain the fin. They cut it off of the shark as it is alive, and then throw the finless shark back into the water. Without fins, it falls to the ocean floor and dies.
