12. Cobra Heart

In Vietnam, a pleasurable street food is the heart of a cobra. The heart of the cobra is taken out of the living snake in front of the viewers’ eyes, and then placed inside of a shot of its own blood to drink.

It is a very unpleasant way to have a meal, but it is highly practiced amongst chefs and travelling food critics to at least attempt this dish.

Now for sure none of these seem like your everyday order, but they are all considered delicacies and very promising, despite their somewhat gruesome origins and several oddities. It just goes to show how bizarre the world really is in all of its tastes.
